Photos of Bonnieux

The Luberon Experience is based in the village of Bonnieux, perched on a rocky outcropping near the pass between the Petit Luberon and Grand Luberon mountains. The village looks across the fields, orchards, vineyards of the Calavon Valley to Mont Ventoux some 25 miles to the north. The old village ramparts date back to the 13th century, and the steep streets are lined with beautiful old buildings, some of which are built on top of even older structures. There are restaurants and cafes, shops and galleries, beautiful fountains, and two distinctive churches. Although Bonnieux is much more active in the warmer months, it has a base of year-round residents and offers services like a post office, an ATM, a small grocery store, three bakeries, and a pharmacy.

We loved living here ... and love returning several times a year, as a family and with our Luberon Experience travelers.
